Since our holiday parties were postponed (we had a snow day), they are happening today. For kindergarten, the plan was short movie in the other k room, followed by a moving exercise, then choice activities (aka free play) in my room. So, here I am at my computer while they draw, do puzzles, play legos, build with blocks, and generally make lots of noise. Just stopped to yell at two boys who seemed to be playing some kind of chase game - running through this nut house is an accident waiting to happen.
Actually, it's been a pretty nice day seeing the kids - everyone is happy to see each other and generally mellow. I am really sleepy though. When my alarm rang, it felt like the middle of the night. I literally staggered to the shower. Thank god for Starbucks!
